On a quest: trying to keurig what ails me.

Dear 30,

I want it. I neeeeeed it. The perfect cup of coffee brewed out of a k-cup. Is that too much to ask? Seriously. That's a real, non-rhetorical question.

I love my Keurig. (Truth be told I technically bought it for HBF as an early Christmas gift last year. And then it sat at my apartment, "for practice use obviously," until we moved into together in May.)

I like how easy it is to pop in a k-cup when I hobble outta bed and into the kitchen, one eye mascara smeared and the other half open. I like that I'm not dumping half a pot of un-consumed coffee in a hurry at 8:15am when I'm running late for work. I like the noise the Keurig makes at the end of the coffee brewing cycle (kkkuuuurrrrrkkkurrrrssshhhh). I like the easy clean up. I like the speedy brewing process. I like chugging down a hot cup of quick brewed coffee in my Jane Addams mug right before I bolt out the door, across the walnut covered yard and into the Honda.

Psh. I get it. You love your pour over and your French press and your fancy ass glass goblet-style coffee thing with an organic cotton filter. But for me, the ease of the Keurig trumps the craft coffee. Late risers like me can't enjoy the ritual of the drip coffee, we gots to get to work on time after walking up 26 minutes late.

I know. I sound like a fan girl. The only problem I have, seriously the only problem: WHICH K-CUP PRODUCES THE GREATEST CUP O COFFEE? This is also a real, non-rhetorical question.

I've tried googling this and found a few helpful hints.  Most tell me what I already know, Green Mountain puts together a tasty k-cup. But it's not nearly as incredible as the cup-o-joe (actually 3, good thing they had free refills. I was like 9 year old Laura with a Shirley temple habit all over again) I had in Denver at Fooducopia. That coffee was complex, fragrant, sip worthy, delicious, smooth, and tasty. It felt like a warm hug of caffeinated bliss.

Current k-cup selection in our house. HBF likes Nantucket blend the best of the three.

I don't know when I started describing coffee as complex and sip-worthy and comparing hot AM beverages to a hug. I don't know when I started writing blog posts about a convenient coffee maker. I don't know what happened.

But good people of the world, please, I beg you, tell me where I can find that complex, sip-worthy, delicious cup of coffee. WHAT K-CUP DO I BUY?!
