January 2023: My favorite things
At the end of each month in 2023, I’ll be sharing with you joys, projects and plans.
A few things that brought me joy this month:

The sunrise/sunset colors of winter. Whew. She’s a beaut.
Spending time at the Des Moines Art Center listening to my mentor and friend, Jeff Fleming, discuss his impactful tenure at our museum.
A few projects I’m proud of:

I subbed out my mid-day podcast for a Skillshare class in January and learned, among other things, how to make these cute Valentine videos.
What’s to come in February:
Finishing Ordinary Monsters and finally deciding if I can (or should) keep describing it as an “extra sinister Harry Potter.”
All the Valentines. All of them. I can’t get enough of them.
Seeing SIX!
Growing my Instagram following and finally crossing that 5k mark.
