214 days of 30. Over halfway to 31.
Dear 30,
December flew past me like a demon duck hawk. That's terrifying.
December flew past me with the speed of a souped up Hyundai scoopin' the loop. Hmm.
December flew past me faster than a famished sailfish chasing a plump squid. (Learning!)
December flew past me as fast as NoClue can rap page 293 of Webster's Dictionary. That's fast, dude.
I think I've made my point.
The last 10 weeks were full. Full of life and celebrations and hard work and decision making. Basically like the past ten weeks you've had. There were at least three dinners at Proof, one herbed marshmallow that melted over a perfectly cooked steak, 79 hand colored holiday cards, so many basketball games watched from the couch, several birthdays and a memorable fundraising birthday party, 7 dozen cookies made with a lot of whole wheat flour, one tear filled speech, non-stop holiday music on 106.3, one animated movie, three handmade markets, one big giveaway, one teeny little christmas tree, 87 gift tags, two drawings of an octopus, the return of a world traveling friend and at least one fashion show at a public library.
It's hard to believe that 2013 is wrapping up and I'm wrapping gifts already. I'm making a small list of to dos in 2014, but before I can tackle any of that, there's a Christmas to celebrate and a flight to Vegas I must catch. (Yep. Vegas. #NVE2014 Vegas. Whoa.) I'm focused on the Calmer Palmer these days and scanning my closet for sequins with holiday shopping still ahead of me and packing for Vegas constantly on my mind.
With 19 items left on my year 30 list there's a lot of to dos ahead of me, but oh man I'm excited for what's to come. Season's Greetings my friends. Wishing you a Merry Fishmas.
