And the big switch happens. Today.

Dear 30,

Whoa. See that. Dear 30. Can't believe we're writing to a new year that starts with a new number. Wild. As far as birthdays go this feels like a big one. Outta town guests rolling in from Denver, Muskie and Minnesota. Folks lacing up bowling shoes for a party in a mall (you read that right) and the keys to the new digs dangling from my key ring. What a grown up day of celebration. Add to that the fact that I write this post on a new, official site and I feel very adult. (Said "ah-dult" because that's how 30 year olds pronounce it.)

This is not us now. This is in Keystone when we were 27 or 28. Now we're all 30. Once we took pictures together when we were all 10.

I don't really feel much different than I did yesterday, honestly. I have a pretty aching back, which is either from sleeping on the couch, or being newly 30. When I really think about it, a lot has and will change in the next few weeks. Thanks to everyone for reading the 29 wrap up and being such loyal (a few of you read what I write all the time and you are my favorites) readers of the old site. In my 30th year there'll be a few change up moments on this new site, but basically it'll be, as it once was, a place to document a year, a place to spill out thoughts, and a way to mark my progress on the list. Speaking of, check out THIRTY. I'm going to go back to celebrating the start of a new decade. Maybe make some cupcakes. Or build a budget. You know, something a thirty-year-old would do on her day off.

XO-LP
